Tardiff’s Five-Goal Performance Powers Trent Past Bishop’s

Trent took control early and never looked back, earning a convincing 16–3 victory over Bishop’s. Nick Fournier opened the scoring before the Gaiters answered twice in the first quarter through Gabe Young and Benjamin Sipples. Goals from Reed Chamberlain, Fournier and Dallyn Rai gave the Excalibur a 4–2 lead after one, with Rai’s marker standing as the game-winner. Trent then began to pull away in the second quarter, as Jaiden Maseko scored twice and Mason Tardiff added another to extend the advantage to 7–2 at halftime.


The Excalibur completely took over in the third, outscoring Bishop’s 6–1. Tardiff scored four times in the quarter, while Connor Curtis and Maseko also found the back of the net. Joel Sweet provided the lone response for the Gaiters. Trent added three more in the fourth, including a power-play goal from Jordan Dool and two additional markers from Fournier. Tardiff led the Excalibur with five goals, while Fournier scored four and Maseko completed a hat trick. Geordy Addison played the full 60 minutes in the Trent net to earn the victory, while Nathan George went the distance for Bishop’s.
