McGill Holds Off Late Trent Rally for 14-12 Victory

McGill built enough of a cushion through the first three quarters and held off a determined Trent comeback to earn a 14–12 victory. Zack Page and Jason Bonnema scored late in the third before John Miraglia opened the fourth with his third goal of the game, which was credited as the game winner.

Trent continued to battle, scoring three of the final four goals, but Tyler Miocevich’s third provided McGill with an important insurance marker. Miraglia and Miocevich led McGill with three goals apiece, while Zack Page added two. Connor Curtis scored three, while Reed Chamberlain, Mason Tardiff and Jaiden Maseko each scored twice for Trent.

The win moved McGill to 1–0, while Trent’s record fell to 1–1.
