Ottawa took control in the third quarter, scoring five times in just over three minutes to take an 8–5 lead before Harrison and Cam Milligan brought Queen’s back within one. After Queen’s tied the game 9–9 in the fourth, Ben Kromer and Hunter Lubiniecki scored 40 seconds apart to restore Ottawa’s two-goal advantage. Milligan answered late, but the Gee-Gees held on for the victory. Lubiniecki and Fawthrop led their respective teams with hat tricks.
