Gryphons Dominate Laurier From Start To Finish Staying Perfect On The Season

Guelph remained undefeated with a convincing 20–4 victory over Laurier on Wednesday evening. Carter Mackay opened the scoring on the power play 9:24 into the first quarter before John Logue, Brandon Orr, Robert Baxter and Owen Wamboldt followed, giving the Gryphons a 5–0 lead after one. Laurier got on the board through Bradley Noble 6:36 into the second, but Guelph continued to control the game and carried a 10–1 advantage into halftime.


The Gryphons pulled away with seven more goals in the third quarter, including three from Logue, while Mason Kocher answered for the Golden Hawks. Logue added his sixth goal of the game early in the fourth before Ethan Brown and Mason Parks completed the scoring for Guelph. Nolan MacVicar scored twice in the final quarter for Laurier. Logue led the Gryphons with six goals, while Baxter and Mackay each recorded hat tricks.


Final score: Guelph 20, Laurier 4.
