McGill Pulls Away Late To Remain Unbeaten

McGill remained unbeaten with a 9–5 victory over Queen’s in a tightly contested East Division matchup. Liam Miletich opened the scoring for McGill at 2:19 of the first quarter, but Cam Milligan answered for Queen’s at 4:28 to leave the game tied after one. McGill began to take control in the second, as Miletich scored twice more to complete his hat trick, while Zack Page also found the back of the net. Milligan’s second goal, coming with just 50 seconds remaining in the quarter, kept Queen’s within striking distance as McGill carried a 4–2 lead into halftime. Callum Olson extended the advantage at 10:15 of the third, but Tanner Harrison replied late in the quarter to cut the McGill lead to 5–3.

Queen’s continued its comeback in the fourth, with Harrison scoring his second of the game at 2:42 before Ryan Gonsalvez tied the contest 5–5 at 5:02. With the game suddenly up for grabs, McGill responded emphatically. Torsten Blodgett scored the eventual game-winner at 8:03, and Page struck just 41 seconds later to restore a two-goal advantage. Page completed his hat trick at 14:55 before Jack Faller added one final goal with only three seconds remaining, capping a four-goal McGill run and sealing the 9–5 victory. Miletich and Page led the McGill attack with three goals apiece, while Blodgett recorded a goal and an assist. Milligan and Harrison each scored twice for Queen’s.
