Western took control early, scoring five unanswered goals in the opening quarter before adding four more in the second to carry a commanding 9–0 lead into halftime. Hayden McIsaac’s first-quarter marker stood as the eventual game-winner, while the Mustangs controlled possession and held McMaster without a goal through the opening 30 minutes.

Lincoln Gear scored twice and Brennan Mee added another for McMaster in the second half, but the Marauders were unable to generate a sustained comeback. Troy MacDonald led Western with a hat trick, while McIsaac, Christopher Da Silva and Zach Abu-Ali each scored twice in the Mustangs’ 15–3 victory. Western also held a 26–14 advantage in shots as the game became increasingly physical down the stretch.

Final score, Western 15, McMaster 3.
