Ottawa took control from the opening quarter and never looked back, scoring three unanswered goals before exploding for six more in the second to carry a commanding 9–0 lead into halftime. Rayne Lang, Jack McCaig and Julien Belair started the attack, while Belair added three more in the second quarter as the Gee-Gees overwhelmed Carleton with a relentless and balanced offence. Cooper Arbuthnot, Hunter Lubiniecki and Lang also found the back of the net during the first half surge.

The Gee-Gees continued to pull away after the break, adding four goals in both the third and fourth quarters. Belair scored twice more to complete a six-goal performance, while Ottawa received goals from 11 different players in the 17–1 victory. Logan Grant broke the shutout for Carleton late in the fourth, but the Ravens were held to only eight shots compared with Ottawa’s 25.

Final score, Ottawa 17, Carleton 1.
