Dominant Second Quarter Propels Brock Past McMaster

The Brock Badgers used a dominant second quarter to defeat the McMaster Marauders 14–7. McMaster opened the scoring through Preston Gear, but Brock responded with three consecutive goals to take a 3–1 lead after the first quarter. The Badgers then broke the game open with seven goals in the second, including a shorthanded marker from Guerin Jennings, to carry a commanding 10–2 advantage into halftime.


McMaster battled back with three third-quarter goals, but Brock answered twice to maintain its seven-goal lead. Dawson Battersby added two more in the fourth to complete a five-goal performance and seal the victory. Jennings finished with three goals, while Brayden Brown and Colton Armitage scored twice each for the Badgers. Preston Gear led McMaster with four goals, as Brock held a 24–19 advantage in shots.
