Terry Fox Stadium to host the 2025 CUFLA Baggataway Cup

BRAMPTON, ON – The Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) will host the 2025 Baggataway Cup from November 7–9 at Terry Fox Stadium in Brampton, concluding the league’s historic 40th anniversary season.


The Baggataway Cup showcases the best Canadian university lacrosse teams as they battle for the national championship across five games, over three days.


The Western Mustangs captured the 2024 Baggataway Cup, marking their second consecutive title and sixth in the last eight seasons. The 2024 tournament featured an instant classic: Western’s quadruple-overtime semifinal victory over McGill. The event also introduced two fan-favourite initiatives—the CUFLA Rookie All-Star Game and a Sixes Showcase.


This marks the first time the Baggataway Cup has been played in a neutral site, as opposed to on a university campus. The proceeds from this year's championship tournament will be divided evenly amongst all teams, and reinvested Into their lacrosse programs. Buying a ticket to the Baggataway Cup directly benefits all CUFLA teams and players.


All games will be streamed live on the CUFLA YouTube channel, which saw more than 48,000 viewers stream some or all of the 2024 Baggataway Cup Weekend. The finals drew over 10,600 views, while the Rookie All-Star Game attracted 11,250 viewers during its primetime Saturday night broadcast.


Terry Fox Stadium is located at Chinguacousy Park in Brampton. The urban park is a vibrant, year-round destination offering a wide range of family-friendly attractions. In warmer months, visitors can enjoy playgrounds, splash pads, mini-golf, paddleboats, a petting zoo, and outdoor sports facilities. In winter, the park transforms with activities like skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and skating at Mount Chinguacousy. The park also features walking trails, tropical gardens, indoor tennis, and a curling club.

We expect a great turnout from both fans and alumni, and we’re looking forward to honouring the history of CUFLA throughout the weekend.”

The 2025 Baggataway Cup Is presented In-part by the City of Brampton and Experience Brampton, whose support has helped make the event possible.


Tickets will be available online during the upcoming CUFLA season. Fans will also have the opportunity to support the league with exclusive CUFLA 40th Anniversary merchandise, available for purchase at the Baggataway Cup tournament weekend.
