Lead by numerous All Canadians, All Baggataway, and year-end award recipients, the Gryphons cruised to winning the 2025 Baggataway Cup with a near-perfect 12-1 record. Ironically, the team's only loss of the season occurred in the 2nd game of the season, back on September 7th, against the Nipissing Lakers. The Lakers are who the Gryphons beat on Baggataway Sunday to win the Cup.

Under the direction of Head Coach Sam Kosakowski, the Gryphons offence lead the league with 214 goals scored. The team's defence also lead the league, allowing just 81 goals-against; giving the Gryphons a +133 point-differential.

The 2025 Guelph Gryphons team will likely be remembered for having won the 2025 championship during blizzard-like conditions at Terry Fox Stadium in Brampton, Ontario. Their legacy will also be for having such an elite roster of players. The team boasts 5 western conference All Canadian selections, 4 All Rookie selections, and 7 All Baggataway selections. Individual player honours were also awarded to the following University of Guelph players:

  • Outstanding Goalie of the Year - Logan Pagano

  • Outstanding Faceoff Specialist - Joe Columbus

  • Outstanding Defender of the Year - Nolan Schott

  • League MVP - Will MacLeod

  • Outstanding Graduating Player - Liam Aston

  • League Scoring Leader - Will MacLeod

CUFLA awards the award for Team of the Year to the 2025 University of Guelph Gryphons.
