Most Valuable Player 2025

CUFLA, the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association is proud to announce the recipient of the 2025 Most Valuable Player Award. Following a year end poll of CUFLA coaches, the league is proud to name Will MacLeod from the University of Guelph Gryphons the 2025 league MVP.

MacLeod, a left-handed Attack from Stoney Creek, Ontario, played in 13 games this season for Guelph, scoring a league leading 52-goals and 29 assists. He also receives the honour of League Scoring Leader for 2025. MacLeod entered CUFLA as a transfer student from Robert Morris University In Pennsylvania where he also played on their lacrosse team. He will graduate this Spring from the University of Guelph's History program. MacLeod averaged 6.23 point-per-game this season for the Guelph Gryphons. His 81 points included 6 power-play goals. MacLeod attended Orchard Park Secondary School and played minor lacrosse with the Hamilton Bengals. He won a Minto Cup in 2023 with the Jr A Burlington Blaze and currently plays Major Series Lacrosse for the Brooklin Lacrosse Club. In September Will was selected in the first round (12th overall) in the NLL (National Lacrosse League) Draft by the Halifax Thunderbirds.


Will MacLeod is CUFLA's 2025 Most Valuable Player.
