Five Goal Fourth Quarter Run Lifts Toronto Past Laurentian

Toronto came from behind to defeat Laurentian 12–10 on Sunday afternoon. The teams exchanged goals throughout the opening quarter, with Taihang Yan giving Toronto a brief lead before Rowan Smith tied the game with 10 seconds remaining. Laurentian took control early in the second, receiving goals from Grant Petronech and two from Jake Sudsbury to move ahead 5–2. Justin Ranger and Yan answered late in the quarter, cutting Laurentian’s advantage to 5–4 at halftime.
Emmett Cancilla restored Laurentian’s two-goal lead in the third, but Toronto responded with three consecutive goals from Ranger, Daniel Clarke and Graham Dicken to take a 7–6 lead. Laurentian opened the fourth with goals from Smith and Petronech to regain the advantage, before Toronto broke the game open with five straight. Clarke scored twice during the run, including the game-winner, while Alex Farrington, Ranger and Alexander May also found the back of the net. Laurentian added two late goals, but Toronto held on for the 12–10 victory.
