Mustangs Pull Away In The Third To Remain Perfect On The Season

Western remained undefeated with a 14–8 victory over Toronto on Saturday evening. Hayden McIsaac opened the scoring 2:28 into the game before Daniel Clarke answered for Toronto. Cyrus Sinopole and Graham Dicken exchanged late goals to leave the teams tied 2–2 after the opening quarter. The back-and-forth play continued through the second, sending the teams into halftime tied 4–4.
The Mustangs took control in the third quarter, outscoring Toronto 7–2 behind four goals from Zach Abu-Ali and additional markers from Christopher Da Silva, Cyrus Sinopole and Mason Doshi. Toronto received two goals from Graham Dicken to remain within reach, but Western added three more in the fourth to close out the victory. Sinopole scored his fourth of the game, while Da Silva and Troy MacDonald also found the back of the net. Alex Farrington and Justin Ranger answered for the Varsity Blues. Western finished with a 38–22 advantage in shots and improved to a perfect 6–0 on the season.
