CUFLA Playoff Rankings and Tie-Breaker Formulas

The 2025 Baggataway Cup takes place from November 7-9, 2025 at Terry Fox Stadium in Brampton. For schedules and ticket information: CLICK HERE - Baggataway Cup


With just a few games remaining before Super Qualifier Weekend, CUFLA teams are all battling for a spot in the Baggataway Cup. The top 6 teams will participate in the tournament. This includes 3 teams from the East and 3 teams from the West. Keep your eyes on the Standings Page for the latest movement and changes to playoff scenarios.


These are the league rules to determine standings, along with the tie-breaker formulas:


10.3. Playoff Seeding Tiebreak Formula


10.3.1. Where two Member Clubs are tied in points following the end of regular season play, the Member Club that won a greater number of points in games played between such two Member Clubs during the regular season shall be declared the winner of the higher position; or  


10.3.2. If a tie still exists, the Goal Average Formula will be used to break the tie. Only the goals scored in the games played between the two Member Clubs that are tied, up to a 10 goal differential, shall be used in the goal average computation GF/(GA + GF), where; 


10.3.2.1. GF means Goals For


10.3.2.2. GA means Goals Against


10.3.3. If a tie still exists, the Goal Average Formula will be used to break the tie. All goals scored in all games played by the tied Member Clubs during the regular season schedule shall be used in the goal average computation; or


10.3.4. If a tie still exists, the team with least number of goals against during the regular

season schedule shall be declared the winner; or


10.3.5. If a tie still exits the team with the greater number of assists on goals during the

entire schedule shall be declared the winner; or


10.3.6. If a tie still exists, the winner of a coin toss by the Commissioner will be declared

the winner.
