McGill wasted little time taking control, scoring three times in the opening 7:22 before Griffin Armstrong answered for Carleton. The Redbirds continued to attack from all areas of the field, closing the quarter with four more goals, including Zack Page’s eventual game-winner with 1:11 remaining, to build a commanding 7–1 lead. McGill carried that momentum into the second quarter as Callum Olson scored twice and Torsten Blodgett added his third of the afternoon. Austin Fraser provided Carleton’s lone response in the period, but the Ravens went into halftime trailing 10–2.

Page struck twice more in the third quarter to complete a four-goal performance, while John Miraglia and Brennan Visokey also found the back of the net as McGill stretched its advantage to 14–4. Carleton continued to battle, getting two goals from Jenson White along with singles from Armstrong, Fraser, Lucas Haddaway and Jonah Steenbakkers, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome. Jason Bonnema, Massimo Thauvette and Sean Doyle closed out the scoring in the fourth quarter as McGill completed a convincing 17–6 road victory. Page led the Redbirds with four goals, while Blodgett and Olson each recorded hat tricks in a balanced offensive effort.

Final score, McGill 17, Carleton 6.
