Nine-point Effort From Parras Lead Ottawa Over Carleton

2015-10-05

In the Battle for Ottawa, the improving University of Ottawa GeeGees defeated their cross town rival Carleton Ravens 12-9.

It was the Brandon Perras (7 goals, 2 assists) show at Carleton as the Ravens defense simply could not shut down the Sophomore GeeGee attackman. Once again, the Ravens gave up a large first half lead as GeeGees Perras and Shayne Snider had Ottawa ahead 7-2 at half.

The Ravens responded with a run, closing to 7-5, starting the second half on a hot hand from Noah Hoselton (2 goals, 2 assists) and 2 goals from Freshman midfielder Mack Mitchell. However, undisciplined Raven play and a steady march to the penalty box allowed the GeeGees to reassert their offense. The victory marked the GeeGees first win against their rivals.
