The Mcgill Redmen are headed to the Baggataway Cup finals for the third straight year after downing the Western Mustangs 15-6 in Saturday's semifinals.

The McGill Redmen put on another impressive showing in the Baggataway Cup semifinals, dominating the Western Mustangs 15-6 to advance to the championship game for the third straight year. They won the title in 2012 and lost last year's game to the Guelph Gryphons, whom they will face again this year.

Connor Goodwin had four goals and two assists and Anders Bjella four goals to lead the McGill rout and seven other players added single goals. Dylan Ham was the only multiple-goal scorer for Western with a pair.

McGill scored the first four goals of the game then surrendered a Sam Neeb goal with 3:47 to play in the first quarter. The Redmen kept full control of the game through 60 minutes, outscoring Western 4-0 in the second quarter and 3-0 in the third.

Western kept fighting in the fourth quarter and actually outscored the Redmen, who played a lot of their backup players in the frame, 5-4.

McGill will face the Gryphons, who beat them 14-11 in last year's final, at 1:25 pm Sunday afternoon. That game can be viewed via free live webcast presented by JVI Sports Network.
